Last week Little A asked me why I haven’t exercised in a while and said she’s worried about me not being fit – great I thought, my five year old is making me feel guilty! Well that was all the encouragement I needed. I am not unfit, I often carry around a few kilos each day (Little F) and spend many hours bouncing up and down at night when I can’t get her to stop crying – that’s a great workout for the calves!!
But yes I do need to get fit. I am pretty slim, breastfeeding helps my metabolism for sure! But in saying that, I have had three children which takes its toll on your body. I need to tone up in many areas, my stomach being only one of those!
Whenever I need a kickstart to my fitness I start the 30 day fitness challenge. It’s a commitment of 20 minutes exercise for 30 continuous days and the results are real. I have done this many times before and always feel great afterwards. Who really doesn’t have 20 minutes to spare each day? This can be done at home and with very little requirements.
I am going to start on Easter Monday, 28th March, and will do it for 30 days. I will share my progress with you along the way. What I’m asking though is – who is willing to join me? Who wants to get fit and tone up?
All you need is:
- Access to YouTube
- 2 hand weights (2-3kg each)
- An exercise mat
- 20 minutes per day
- Staying power!!
Think about it and get on board, you have 12 days to get organised and commit to it. By the way anybody of any age can do this, there are different levels, depending on your starting fitness so there are no excuses.
Come on – we can do this together!!!
